How the app works
What does WrappedMe actually do?
It analyzes your photo library with on-device AI and builds summaries, insight cards (pets, faces, places, classified screenshots), and a story-style 'Wrapped' with the highlights of your year, ready to share.
How long does the analysis take?
It depends on the size of your library — anywhere from under a minute to a few minutes for very large libraries. It runs in the background and you only need to do it once; after that it's saved on your device.
What devices does it work on?
WrappedMe is iPhone-only — it isn't available for iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch. You'll need iOS 26.5 or later; you can always check the exact minimum version on the app's App Store page.
Privacy and your data
Do you upload my photos to a server?
No. All analysis runs directly on your iPhone using Vision and Apple Intelligence — your photos never leave the device or pass through our servers, not even temporarily.
Can anyone on the WrappedMe team see my photos?
No. We don't have access to your library or the images themselves — there's no copy on any server we could look at. Only you, on your own device, can see them.
Do I need an internet connection for it to work?
Not for analyzing your photos — that runs 100% on-device, even in airplane mode. You only need a connection to complete the purchase in the App Store and to receive notifications.
Does WrappedMe use my photos to train AI models?
No. We use the models already built into your iPhone (Vision, Apple Intelligence) exactly as they are — your photos are never sent anywhere to train or improve any model, ours or anyone else’s.
Permissions
Why does it ask for access to my ENTIRE library instead of just some photos?
Because calculating real statistics (categories, active-day streaks, places) requires seeing your whole library. With access to only a few selected photos, the analysis would be incomplete and wouldn't reflect your actual year.
Can I revoke the photos permission later?
Yes, anytime from system Settings > WrappedMe > Photos. The app will keep working with what it already analyzed, but won't be able to update the summary until you grant it again.
Does the app use my camera or microphone?
No. WrappedMe only reads your existing photo library — it never accesses your device's camera or microphone.
What does it ask for notification permission for?
To let you know when your Wrapped is ready or on the anniversary of a Special Day you revisit. It's completely optional — you can say no and the app still works.
Purchase and data
Do I need to create an account?
No. WrappedMe works without registration or sign-in — we don't ask for an email or password. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID through the App Store, like any app purchase.
Is it a subscription?
No — it's a one-time payment that unlocks the app forever. No recurring charges, no renewals. The price is always shown before you buy.
What happens if I switch iPhones?
Your purchase follows you: use 'Restore purchase' on the new device with the same Apple ID. Photo analysis runs again on the new device (it's always local).
How do I delete my data?
From your profile, at the bottom, with 'Delete my data' — it removes all generated content (Summary, Insights, Special Days, local analysis, widgets) directly on your device, no need to write to us. Your purchase isn't lost: it lives in your Apple ID.
Wrapped and Special Day
What is a 'Special Day'?
A mini Wrapped centered on a single day from your library, built from your Live Photos and photos from that day — it includes a real video that combines those moments, not just a static collage.
When I share my Wrapped, does anything get uploaded to the internet?
Not from our side. The image or video is generated on your device and shared using the same native iOS share sheet any other app uses — we don't see or store what you share or who you share it with.
How does the app name my Special Days?
Your Special Days are named by their date. The app doesn't read your calendar or any other data outside your photo library.
